Structural Design Engineer

One of the most exciting nuclear projects in the UK is looking for a structural design engineer to join a fantastic project in the defence sector.

• Job Title - Structural Design Engineer
• Location - Reading
• Contract Length - 18 Months
• Pay Rates -  £59.03 per hour (Inside IR35)

Daily Deliverables:

• Ensure that the design intent is managed and maintained throughout project lifecycle
• Ensure that codes are always worked to and maintained.
• Work within a multi-disciplined team to ensure all disciplines are all considered.
• Review, escalate and challenge all design drawings and ensure the project is always at the forefront of consideration
• Work within project scope and guidelines
• Monitor and assess design concept and competence

Key skills and Desirables:

• Experience in a structural design role
• Experience in a highly regulated environment
• Experience in design change notices (DCN)
• Experience in seismic design (DESIRED)
• Experience in a nuclear capacity (DESIRED)
