Structural Engineer

We are assisting our client, who are a creative, award-winning multi-disciplinary design consultancy based in the heart of East London - a short walk from Aldgate, look for a talented and enthusiastic structural engineer to join their dynamic team.

You will have the opportunity to work on a large variety of unusual and interesting projects which includes working on as you bolster your portfolio whilst pushing towards chartership status (ICE or IStructE).

You will be able to be open-minded when working out client's project, where you can demonstrate your creative thinking. Our client applies existing knowledge in new ways, that explore lateral solutions to find unusual answers.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• BA or MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent too)
• Actively working towards chartership status (ICE or IStructE)
• At least two years post-graduate experience working for a UK based design consultancy.
• A keen learner that is wanting to improve their engineering skills.
• The successful candidate shall have excellent communication skills who is motivated and enthusiastic
• Attend site visits as and when required.
• Has experience in working with steel, RC and timber structures.
• Knowledgeable in structural software including Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds and AutoCAD
• Able to work under pressure with initiative and creativity.
• You are willing to learn and adapt.
