Structural Steel Estimator

A leading bridge construction company is currently looking for a Structural Steel Estimator for a full-time position in West Midlands.
Salary: �55k - �70k (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Duties:

• Review tender drawings and other documentation.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare material and labour cost estimates.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
• Analyze project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare detailed and accurate quotations.
• Participate in project handover meetings.
• Sourcing of pre-project information and site visits.
• Manage tenders and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• Experience in structural steelwork fabrication estimating.
• Good understanding of construction methods and ability to measure drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365.
• Use of 2D AutoCAD is beneficial.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
