Structural Steel Welder

Our client based just outside Milton Keynes is recruiting for Structural Steel Welder. The job involves working as part of a team manufacturing structural steel and industrial buildings .

The candidate must be able to MIG weld to a good standard (the candidate may be asked to pass a weld test as part of the interview). Candidates main duties will include:-

• Working to engineering and detailer drawings


• Marking and identifying materials from FAB packs


• Problem solving


• Dressing and finishing


• Checking that finished products comply with specifications

Structural Steel Welder Candidates must fabricate all customer orders to a good standard, all within a time frame to meet customer requirements. The candidate must be competent with a range of workshop equipment and understand how to safely use machinery such as bandsaws and drills.

• 8 hour shift


• Day shift


• Holidays


• Monday to Friday

Candidates must be reliable with good timekeeping. Candidates will be expected to read basic technical drawings and have a good eye for detail.

This is a temp-to-perm position starting at �16 per hour with the potential for reivew upon securing a permanent contract.

Overtime will be available.
