� Teamwork
o Input into your direct report's annual goals and check in on the development of these regularly
o Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to perform their duties effectively.
o Communicate effectively with other engineers, supervisors, enabling functions, designers, and client representatives.
� Design
o Coordinate supply chain partners to contribute to design solutions at the appropriate time to deliver a right first time design solution that can be constructed with "no in-flight change"
o Ensure construction issues are raised promptly through the delivery team, with an appropriate level of escalation to determine a suitable resolution
o Understand the design specifications and drawings for your section. Challenge where relevant.
o Generate temporary works design briefs to a standard accepted by the Temporary Works Coordinator
� Programme and planning
o Produce a 3 month lookahead for your section of works, including more short term 2 & 4 week lookahead
o Record progress and compare it to planned production for your section. Communicate this progress with relevant stakeholders.
o Produce plans for your works section considering sequences, constraints and interfaces and communicate them with relevant stakeholders.
� Commercial
o Write and review Subcontract scopes of works as part of the tender process
o Ensure subcontract scopes are being delivered,
o Support the commercial team and Project Manager with assessment of subcontractor applications and compensation events
o Assist the Sub Agent / Agent and commercial team in reviewing applications for payment from subcontractors.
� Quality
o Create a culture within the delivery team where quality is promoted, understood and delivered
o Create and communicate inspection requests for any client or 3rd party quality inspections.
� Safety
o Promote IFE and a culture of putting health, safety, wellbeing and environment first.
o Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety Policies and procedures (both for the Client and Skanska).
o Collaborate with others to plan your works to minimise health and safety hazards.
o Carry out regular safety inspections and implement recommended courses of action as identified from progress monitoring and management inspections
o Set and maintain clear expectations for health and safety with your team and suppliers working on your section.
o Be familiar with and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety Policies and procedures

� Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
� Effective written and verbal communication skills to diverse audiences.
� Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and common construction methodologies.
� Knowledge and understanding of temporary works processes, design and management.
� Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts (through experience and formal training). Ideally ECC NEC4.
� Working towards or in possession of Professional Industry Qualification (IEng, CEng etc.)
� Digital competence (MS Office 365, document control systems, site digital tools).
� Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS)
� CSCS Card
