Role Overview
As Sub Agent, you will assist the Site Agent in managing various aspects of the construction project. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating subcontractors, supervising work packages, and ensuring construction activities are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards. You will be instrumental in meeting all project objectives within the required timeframes. Accommodation, travel, and subsistence expenses will be fully covered by the contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Agent in planning and coordinating on-site construction activities, including scheduling, resource management, and subcontractor supervision.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery of work packages.
- Monitor progress against project milestones and budgets, addressing any deviations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and project documentation in compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to health and safety, environmental regulations, and project specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site staff, addressing queries and coordinating any required design changes.
- Assist in the preparation of progress reports, including daily diaries, photographic records, and as-built drawings to document project activities and achievements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a solid understanding of construction techniques and processes.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in construction software and tools, such as project management software and CAD programmes, is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
