Supervisor

Our client, a leading company in the HTP sector, is currently seeking a Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis for the A66 Highways upgrade works in the Bowes Area within the Cumbria border. This role involves working on essential upgrades and ensuring smooth and safe operations on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering Start of Shift briefings to the team to ensure clear understanding of daily tasks and safety procedures
• Checking and signing off Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to maintain high safety standards
• Issuing permits for breaking ground and hot works to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Coordinating with the team and other stakeholders for effective project execution
• Inspecting work progress and ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety guidelines
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to site activities
• Providing solutions and making decisions independently to overcome site challenges
• Communicating effectively with the team, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project success

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a supervisory role within the civils sector
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices related to highways and construction works
• Ability to deliver effective Start of Shift briefings and communicate clearly with the team
• Proficiency in checking and signing off RAMS
• Capability to issue permits for breaking ground and hot works
• Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related field
