Job Description

We have some exciting opportunities here at Valeo as we look to recruit for a Supplier and Raw Material Technologist to join the team!

The Raw Material Technologists will build, develop and maintain effective processes and relationships to ensure effective management of our supplier and our raw materials.

* Ensure effective management of our supply base to meet Valeo Foods, customer and third party standards.

* Ensure all supply chains are mapped out and we have visibility of any risks.

* Support the site team during customer and BRC audits

* Maintain approved supplier list

* Maintain raw material specifications

* Address any supplier quality issues and non-conformances.

* Works with Procurement team to unlock opportunities for cost savings and improvements

* Completes supplier desktop evaluations and follows up on risks identified.

* Provides the business with supplier specific performance metrics, through individual reports and trends.

* Attends internal food safety and quality reviews and shares knowledge on suppliers.

* Support NPD activity and requests for samples

* Support the site technical team on raw material and supplier related quality issues

* Builds effective relationships with customer technical teams to share expertise and knowledge providing confidence in our controls.

Qualifications

* Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related discipline and/or experience Min 5 years’ experience in FMCG or similar environment

* Experience in Supplier and raw materials management

* BRC Compliance and audits aware.

* Experience in supplier management

* Lead assessor auditor

* Auditing experience

* Up to date knowledge of technical advances and the changing consumer landscape.

* Good understanding of the manufacturing process.
