Job Purpose:The Supplier Quality & Compliance Manager be responsible for ensuring that materials, components, or services procured from suppliers meet stringent quality standards.Key areas of responsibility of the role include:Developing and maintaining supplier quality management processesManaging daily supplier quality activitiesSeeking and utilizing knowledge of quality systems, technologies and statistical tools.Participating in supplier development projects and continuous improvement activitiesFocusing on supplier quality, delivery and costs on a global basis.Monitor and stay abreast of global regulatory compliance requirements Evaluation of performance against regulatory compliance requirements Defining AQLs and DCLs internally and with suppliers Factory QC training Staff technical training Control of non-conforming products Customer focussed approach Willingness to travel Technical / Engineering capability Developing factory capabilities Verification of product specification Identification of compliance criteria Inspection standard generation/negotiation People management of small team Key Qualifications and Experience Required:degree and/or a recognised Quality Management qualification.qualified ISO 9001 auditor, preferable lead assessorSQ experience in automotive manufacturing or in a similar industry.in NPI and developing/managing suppliers to deliver quality requirements through the product life cycleable to lead, influence and support, to challenge in a positive attitudenegotiating and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.knowledge of IATF 16949 and Core Tools.in quality tools and methods, including but not limited to Global 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, Pareto, etc.with Metrology inspection methods and equipment, as well as a working knowledge of GD&Tto correctly interpret 3D CAD and 2D Drawingsto present data accurately and effectivelyand prioritising activities and an ability to operate with a level of autonomy.Location:The main UK office is in Wolverhampton.Benefits:Annual BonusContributory Pension schemeEnhanced Parental Leave schemeFree EV charging on siteCompany SocialsYuLife Wellbeing AppPaycare - Healthcare Cash PlanEqual Opportunities:At Fortress we don’t just accept difference, we celebrate and genuinely value it for the benefit it brings to our culture, our employees, our products, and the local communities where we are based.
