Supply Chain Manager- Lancing

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with the organisation's business goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the order fulfilment process, from order receipt to dispatch, ensuring smooth customer service, planning, purchasing, and warehousing operations.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
  • Optimise inventory levels to balance product availability and minimise carrying costs, implementing inventory control measures and demand forecasting techniques.
  • Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products, while optimising routes and minimising costs.
  • Plan production processes, balancing customer needs with production workload and capacity.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to your team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks and disruptions, implementing strategies to minimise their impact on operations.
  • Maintain and uphold company health and safety standards.
  • Supervise staff workloads, distribute and monitor the quality of work, and manage staff holidays and absences.
  • Monitor and report using the company's business information systems.
  • Work with HR and senior managers to implement company policies and goals within your team.
  • Provide support to internal and external sales representatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, inventory management systems, and transportation management systems.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
