Support Assistant

Location: Alsager, Cheshire
Pay: £88.92 - £100.53 per day (dependent on payroll choice)
Start Date: April and September 2025 available

About the Role:
Simply Education is partnering with a specialist school in Alsager, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. The school provides high-quality education for autistic students aged 4 to 19 in a supportive environment. With small class sizes (around 7 students) and a total of 80 students on roll, the school offers individual attention and tailored support.

As a Support Assistant, you will work directly with students, assisting with learning activities and helping them develop confidence and skills. Whether you have experience or are eager to learn, this role offers growth in a rewarding setting.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students in classroom activities.
  • Helping with emotional regulation and communication strategies (PECS, Makaton, sensory integration).
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Working closely with teachers to support students' needs.
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in daily tasks.

What We're Looking For:

  • A caring, patient individual passionate about supporting young people.
  • Experience in education is helpful but not essential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a special needs education setting.
