About Us: First Class Support provides specialist support services to disabled students across schools, colleges, and higher education institutions throughout the UK. As a non-medical help provider, we primarily assist Higher Education students through the Disabled Students Allowance.
Our team of support specialists offers a wide range of services, including private tuition, note-taking, one-on-one study skills support, practical assistance, mobility training, mental health mentoring, autism support, and BSL interpretation.
What sets us apart is our commitment to extending our services beyond academic settings into the workplace. We offer personal and employment support packages, which include strategy coaching, technology training, and disability awareness training.
Position Overview: We are experiencing exciting growth and are seeking a dedicated Support Coordinator to join our team at our office located in Sutton Harbour, Plymouth.
This role will commence in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities: As a Support Coordinator, your main responsibility will be to deliver specialised non-medical support to disabled students and clients with diverse needs. You will use your coordination and engagement skills to:
* Source and assign support tutors to students.
* Ensure effective engagement between students and their tutors.
* Address and resolve any issues or queries promptly.
* Facilitate regular booking of support sessions.
This role is particularly suited for candidates with a sales background, as business development is a key component. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with private clients, demonstrating confidence and a strong sales approach through phone communication and client meetings. Comfort with regular phone interactions and professional email correspondence is essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Experience in coordination, engagement, working with disabilities or sales/business development.
* Ability to work well under pressure, with strong organisational skills to meet monthly targets.
* Proven track record in business development.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong relationship-building abilities with both staff and clients.
* Positive, enthusiastic attitude with motivation to do well.
* Flexibility in handling changes and new responsibilities.
* Good attention to detail.
Qualifications: While we welcome entry-level candidates, graduates will have an edge due to the role's academic focus. Candidates with backgrounds in recruitment or sales will also be preferred.
Compensation:
* Starting salary: £25,400, with OTE reaching £26,000 plus additional uncapped bonuses.
