Are you an experienced, compassionate and caring support worker looking for a new challenge or a change? Here at Randstad we could have the role for you! We are looking for support workers to come and join our team working on the Scottish Islands.
About the role:
There are a variety of roles available, with care in the community, care at home and care home work available. Experience working with a range of service users is desirable including learning disabilities, elderly, dementia, physical disabilities and some challenging behaviour. The role will allow you to help and care for people who need support and build relationships with them. You will be helping service users with daily tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, moving and handling, household tasks and general domiciliary care. This role involves promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing of service users who have a variety of additional needs. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Scottish islands on your days off.
You would need to be able to commit to a 12 week minimum for the post with contract extensions often available. Accommodation will be provided while on the island. Due to the remote locations of many of the services, it is essential that you have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
