  • Assist learners in overcoming challenges and building their confidence.
  • Help with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, and toileting, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Support learners in participating in social, educational, and recreational activities.
  • Assist learners in gaining employment skills and accessing job opportunities.
  • Promote independence by empowering learners to make their own choices.
  • Monitor learner progress and adapt support as needed to meet their goals.
  • Administer medication (after training) and manage any medical emergencies.
  • Take part in regular training and professional development to enhance your skills.

What They're Looking For:

  • Experience working with people, either professionally or personally-particularly those with disabilities or additional needs.
  • Patience, understanding, and a calm approach when dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • A willingness to assist with personal care, ensuring learners maintain dignity and hygiene.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with learners, staff, and families.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow learner care plans.
  • A commitment to providing the highest standard of care and maintaining confidentiality.

Personal Qualities:

  • Compassionate, patient, and approachable.
  • A problem-solver with a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated and eager to continue learning and growing professionally.
  • Organised and able to manage your time effectively.
  • Passionate about supporting autistic adults to live life to the fullest.
