Join a dynamic and friendly team at this adult day centre where you'll support adults with autism in developing essential life skills and independence. As a Support Worker, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support, care, and encouragement for adult learners with autism.
  • Assist with personal care tasks (dressing, toileting, hygiene) to ensure learners maintain their dignity and well-being.
  • Plan and lead activities that develop life skills, from communication to practical job-readiness.
  • Support learners in accessing social, recreational, and employment opportunities in the local area.
  • Track progress and adapt your approach to meet each learner's unique needs and goals.

Why You'll Love Working There:

  • Generous Time Off: 23 days of paid holiday, plus bank holidays, to enjoy your downtime.

What They're Looking For:

  • A full driving licence or access to reliable transportation (due to the centre's location).
  • Experience working with young people or adults with disabilities (voluntary, personal, or professional experience welcome).
  • A calm, patient attitude and the confidence to support learners who may display challenging behaviour.
  • A willingness to assist with personal care tasks when needed.
