Learning Disabilities Support Worker

If so, we have a new temporary to permanent opportunity in Carluke where you will become a permanent member of the team after 3 months, which may be the perfect fit for you!
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outcome-based support plans for autistic individuals.
- Ensure service provision is of the highest quality, demonstrating best practice and promoting safeguarding.
- Maintain accurate and robust records within Scottish Autism's recording systems.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to maximize service effectiveness.
- Serve as a Keyworker, leading regular Keyworker Meetings and participating in regular review meetings.
- Promote independence, dignity, and well-being of service users with a variety of additional needs.
- Assist service users with daily tasks, personal care, and medication administration.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience, and a genuine interest in helping people.
- Maintain Continuous Professional Development in line with the Scottish Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements.
- Participate in on-call duties, depending on development stage and location.
Requirements
- Full Uk Driving License and access to a vehicle
- Minimum of 1 year UK experience in a similar role
- Right to work in the UK
- SVQ2 in Health and Social Care or HNC in Social Care is preferred
- Experience working with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
- Strong Communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
- Ability to work well under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations, using your own initiative
