Responsibilities

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care at Home workers to provide essential support to elderly individuals in East Dunbartonshire. You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, preparing meals, medication administration, toileting, and mobility support.
• Providing a warm and supportive environment that promotes independence and well-being.
• Building meaningful relationships with service users and respecting their individual needs.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently met.
• Competence with Short-term Care at Home Re-ablement Services and Long-term Care at Home Services for people of varying needs
• An overnight service between the hours of 10.30pm and 7.30am.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a care home or in a community care/care at home environment
• Compassionate and caring towards others with a desire to help people
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to work under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations
• Strong ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Moving and handling training and medication administration training
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
