Location: Faringdon, Oxfordshire Days and Hours: 36.75 hours per week(15 shifts over a 4-5 week rolling rota available - number of shifts to be confirmed, equating to an average of 36.75 hours per week). Typical shift patterns are days, 7.45am-8pm and nights, 7.45pm-8am. Bank Hours are also available.
Pay: £16.16 per hour, for all shifts
Following successful completion of probation: £16.65 per hour, for all shifts 1 years service: £17.17 per hour, for all shifts
Driver required? Applicants need their own car to get to work due to the location of the client's home. Driving Clients Car? There is not currently a need to drive the client's car . There is a possibility in the future there may be a need to drive the Client's automatic Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV). Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes (if licence held) to attend training and supervision. Supervision can be held virtually. Essential Experience: Complex medical needs, PEG feeding and supporting a person through waking nights Desirable: Experience working with adults with complex trauma and an interest in therapy Pets: 1dog but it lives within the family home on the same site (adjacent to the client) Accommodation (while on duty): Fully adapted family home. About the Role: Our client is a 25-year-old who thrives in an environment full of activity and engagement. He currently has a gastric feeding tube in place, and he communicates by a variety of movements and facial expressions. Living in a fully adapted home with his family, he requires 2:1 support for all his daily needs (he cannot be left unattended). This is a unique opportunity to be part of a close-knit team that works collaboratively to enhance his quality of life through meaningful interaction, therapeutic activities, and structured routines.
Your Impact:
Engage in Daily Activities: Help plan and participate in activities that stimulate and entertain, ensuring every day is filled with moments of joy.
Support and Care: Provide essential care, including PEG feeding, personal care, and medication administration, while ensuring his safety and wellbeing.
Collaborate with Professionals: Work with therapists and the family to implement physio, OT, and other therapeutic programs, making each session interactive and enjoyable.
Be a Positive Influence: Create a lively atmosphere that encourages the clients participation in all aspects of his routine.
What Were Looking For:
Experience in Care: You should have experience with complex medical needs, including PEG feeding. Experience with adults with trauma or an interest in therapy is a bonus.
Creativity and Motivation: We need individuals who are imaginative and proactive in creating a fun, engaging environment.
Team Player: Youll work closely with another support worker and the family, so being a co-operative and communicative team member is essential.
Reliability and Compassion: This role requires someone who is patient, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about making a positive impact.

About You:
NVQ Level 3 in care (or equivalent) is essential.
Confident in working in a home environment, sensitive to the needs of the client and his family.
A full driving license is required due to the location and potential future need to drive the clients adapted vehicle.
