We are thrilled to announce that we are currently looking for a dynamic Supported Housing Officer to join our busy, vibrant, and dedicated team in Alveston, South Gloucestershire.
As a Supported Housing Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored 1-2-1 support to 12 residents in a supportive housing environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and managing rent accounts, establishing and maintaining trusting relationships with residents, delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice, assisting individuals in identifying appropriate move-on accommodation, and promoting opportunities for education, training, and employment. You will empower residents to gain the confidence and skills necessary to sustain their tenancy and secure permanent housing.
Hours of Work:
36.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, excluding bank holidays.
Supported Housing Officer Requirements:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to adapt to individual needs.
Competency in working with multiple agencies to improve outcomes for service recipients.
Empathy towards the causes and challenges of homelessness.
Ability to inspire and elevate the aspirations of service users towards education, training, and employment.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages and maintaining accurate records.
Supported Housing Officer Benefits:
