Supported Housing Service Manager required for a permanent, full time vacancy based in Exeter. This role will be working within a charitable organisation who assist vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society, helping them out of homelessness, into employment, away from domestic abuse, and more.
  • �31,400 per year
  • 37.5 hours per week�������
  • On-call (1 in 4 weeks), �100/week when on-call

About the role
  • Overseeing multiple units of accommodation, along with a dedicated team of support workers. These units are providing support to individuals with a history of homelessness in the Exeter area.
  • Lead the service, ensuring that high-quality, person-centred support is provided to residents, and staff meet high-quality standards.
  • Day-to-day management of buildings, including maintenance and safety issues, ensuring that regular inspections (internal and external) are made and monitored
  • Ensure that the appropriate levels and quality of staff and other resources are available to meet the agreed service standards, and that a robust staffing rota always exists - the post holder will be expected to provide additional cover if necessary
  • Regularly engage in discussions with external stakeholders and commissioners.

The right candidate
  • Proven management experience in a similar setting
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work.
  • Comfortable undertaking a DBS criminal record check prior to starting the role - A criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from becoming an employee, the decision will depend on the type of offence and its relevance to the role
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of rough sleeping, multiple complex social need and the causes of homelessness.
