Surface Mount Technology Technician Job will entail

You’ll be working with a variety of electronic assemblies and contributing to the production process to meet customer deadlines. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Hand-assembling small volume surface mount PCBs and operating the reflow oven
• Manufacturing cable assemblies
• Operating pick and place machine: loading components and ensuring smooth production
• Programming the pick and place machine for new boards using a PC
• Assisting with mechanical assembly when required
• Liaising with our engineering team to resolve any production issues
• Keeping the work environment safe and tidy

Requirements for this Surface Mount Technology Technician Job

Senex Recruitment are looking for someone with:

• Hands-on soldering skills and knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards (an IPC qualification is a bonus!)
• Experience assembling SMT PCBs to industry standards
• A solid understanding of pick and place technology, and PCB production
• The ability to read and follow manufacturing documents with attention to detail
• Previous experience in a professional manufacturing environment
• You’ll need to be comfortable operating a PC and communicating with your colleagues in our small, friendly team.
