Department: Property and Consultancy Services – Local Authority Derby
Job Title: Surveying Technician
Pay: £15.08 per hour
Hours: 37 per week, Monday – Friday (phone number removed)hrs

What You'll Do:
* Harness the power of GIS and CAD to create detailed maps and asset plans.
* Keep our property records up to date and ensure data accuracy.
* Collaborate with departments, legal teams, and external partners.
* Help resolve land ownership and boundary questions with your expertise.
* Conduct site visits to inspect, measure, and photograph properties.
* Train colleagues in GIS and contribute to developing IT systems.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proficiency in GIS and an understanding of mapping principles.
* A good eye for detail and a love for solving complex challenges.
* Strong communication skills to explain technical information to diverse audiences.
* A flexible, can-do attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
