Sustainability and Building Physics Consultant Full-time Office Locations: London Inhabit is a specialist consultancy focusedon the design and advancement of the built environment. An exciting opportunity in our London office is available for a passionate and motivated Sustainability and Building Physics Consultant to lead and develop our UK Sustainable Design team. Working under the guidance of our Director Europe, you will be collaborating with our existing Sustainable Design team based in Australia to develop a local UK and eventually European offering, building on your specialised technical knowledge whilst working on the design of some of the most exciting projects in the UK and internationally. The position is ideal for the suitable individual to build a new and exciting sustainability team for the European market through pro-active engagement with Inhabit s global offices and clients as well as developing new relationships in the region. The Role Lead and be responsible for the delivery of Sustainable Design and Building Physics projects including but not limited to thermal, condensation, daylight and glare control Providing consultancy services to assist our clients on the journey and eventual realisation of Net-Zero carbon buildings, including the provision of sustainable design strategies and input to business cases. Being the lead representative on projects, including site meetings, design workshops, site inspections and liaising with relevant stakeholders to meet client and project requirements Developing and maintaining relationships with clients a project teams, such as developers, architects, main contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, project managers, etc. Expanding the Building Physics and Sustainability portfolio by assisting with business development and marketing Growing and mentoring early-career team members across the team A degree qualification in an Engineering subject 5 to 10 years experience working within the Building Physics / ESD / Sustainability sector, preferably within a consulting environment Certified (or desire to become certified) in Passivhaus and net-zero design Experience of Passivhaus engineering design from concept to completion of building projects Technical background in building services with a forward thinking technical approach to sustainable design across both embodied and operational carbon, based in fundamental engineering knowledge Experience of sustainability certification schemes (e.g. WELL/BREEAM) Experience in consulting, delivery and implementation of carbon and project sustainability strategies Experience in energy, parametric and CFD modelling considered an advantage Desire to grow commercial and business development abilities and contribute to the growth of Inhabit s Acoustics team in the region Self-motivated, dedicated, and proactive with a passion for detail Demonstrated excellence in providing high-quality client service Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to generate new work from new and existing clients Ability to organise and prioritise workflow What We Offer A wide variety of technically interesting projects across the UK and internationally A chance to be a part of and steer the growth of a discipline Excellent mentorship and career progression opportunities with future global career prospects Be rewarded for your enthusiasm, commitment, dedication, and loyalty Ongoing learning, access to training and development, including pathway to professional recognition (e.g Chartership) Competitive salary based on experience and level of responsibility Competitive benefits package An Employee Assistance Program available to staff, family and household members Please upload your cover letter and CV addressing the above criteria in your application.
