Sustainability Reporting ManagerSalary: £55,000 - £65,000Contract: Permanent, Full-TimePurpose of the RoleLead the development, organisation, and management of the University’s environmental sustainability data. Ensure accurate and timely reporting and disclosure, manage external reporting requirements, and support local action through data provision.Key ResponsibilitiesData Management & Reporting:Develop and manage the University’s sustainability data.Ensure compliance with best practices for data reporting and disclosure.Advise the Head of Environmental Sustainability on reporting requirements and improvements.Tools & Systems:Recommend and implement tools for managing sustainability data.Ensure data security and accuracy.Monitoring & Assurance:Develop metrics to monitor sustainability progress.Support the Sustainability Team and Estates Division.Manage independent assurance of key metrics.Data Provision & Engagement:Provide data for annual reports and external audits.Develop performance metrics for different University departments.Engage with departments to support local sustainability initiatives.Analysis & Recommendations:Analyze sustainability performance data.Identify trends and gaps.Make recommendations for improvements.Person SpecificationEssential:Undergraduate degree or equivalent in environmental science, sustainability, or related field.Extensive experience with managing complex data sets.Experience in carbon accounting and using sustainability data management tools.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Desirable:Postgraduate qualification.Experience in the higher education sector.Passion for sustainability issues.Benefits:Pension: Membership in a defined benefits pension scheme.Annual Leave: 33 days plus public holidays.Flexible Working: Discussions are encouraged before applying or during the interview.
