Sustainability Summer Placement

Walsh is committed to delivering net zero structural design by 2040, and as part of this journey, we have been calculating the carbon footprint of our designs for several years. Now we want to collate and analyse the data to give us deeper insights into our designs. We think this is the perfect summer placement project for a student who is interested in sustainability, engineering, and built environment, and who is confident with data analysis tools and/or coding and invite applicants from a range of backgrounds.What you will be doingDuties will include, but are not limited to:·
Data gathering, collation and analysis on our historical and ongoing embodied carbon assessment data, and working with the green team to put together a data collection/analysis solution in place going forward·
You will need to be confident with data handling, preferably able to use Visual Basic in excel or a programming language like python to handle the data·
You should have an interest in carbon, sustainability, or engineering·
You will be required to be able to be at least partially office-based·
You will need to be relatively comfortable working in groups and speaking with people as you will have to talk to the Green team to get extra detail on the dataPay & Benefits This will be a paid placement paying the London Living Wage for 12 weeks.Closing Date Please apply by Friday 28th June.
