Our client is a highly successful boutique firm of consulting engineers, specialising in mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering.  As specialists designing all the moving parts of buildings, they play a huge role in making buildings as sustainable and energy efficient as possible.

Duties & Responsibilities




  • Working alongside the engineers to establish the Energy and Sustainability requirements.

  • Production of Sustainability / Energy Calculations

  • Work alongside project architects to agree thermal requirements and glazing strategies.

  • Input of the sustainability strategy at each stage of a project

  • Collation of Building Control evidence in relation to Sustainability items e.g. Energy strategies and CO2 calculations.

  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of emerging technologies through continued personal development.



Experience Required




  • The minimum entry requirement for this role is to hold a strong academic background in environmental building services or a mechanical degree with a sustainability masters.




  • Experience of any of the following would be beneficial.




  1. Executing and delivering sustainability projects.

  2. Assessing thermal modelling and dynamic studies, knowledge of IES, SAP, BREEAM,  Part L, TM52, TM59.




  • Open to ongoing learning and professional development.
