System Analyst

As a Systems Analyst, You will lead the translation of feature requests prioritised by our Product Owner into detailed, playable user stories for execution. You will undergo a technical induction to get immersed in their cloud SaaS application, technical architecture and their customers’ core business drivers.Your responsibilities:Taking a product/systems perspective, conduct a deep analysis of requirements, captured from the client-facing and product teams, to inform user story creationOwn and drive the capture of clearly articulated, deliverable and testable Jira user stories that satisfy client and product expectations backed by detailed Confluence documentationContribute as a peer of the engineering team, partnering with full-stack engineers, DevOps engineers, QA automation engineers and manual testers to co-create clear, deliverable and testable user stories that meet or exceed client and product owner expectationsWork with the CEO, Chief Product Officer and Product Analyst to understand product directionIf required to better understand specific client use cases, attend client meetings and workshops demonstrating knowledge of the application and supporting the development of a single-code line, productised solutionWork with the CTO, AI/ML Lead and Solutions Architect to support product taxonomy definition and the selection and implementation of AI/ML tools and techniques for data ingestion, analysis, ranking and approvalEnsure user stories are independent, valuable and deliverable to enable an efficient flow of work through the end-to-end product engineering processChampion and support the ongoing maturing and increasing automation of our technology delivery, removing friction from our end-to-end product engineering processes while maintaining governance processes as required by the largest FS Institutions CultureActively engage with, contribute to, and thrive in the fast-moving startup/scaleup environment, bringing knowledge and experience of best practice and balancing this with pragmatic implementationLook to support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation, with an emphasis on embracing technology to maximise efficiencyRequirements:Systems Analyst / Business Analyst experience within a scrum/kanban-based product delivery team essentialCompetent and confident in reading and understanding technical architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, conceptual and logical data architecture and data flows typical of a browser-based SaaS applicationProven commercial experience in an extremely fast-moving scrum/kanban (ideally startup) environmentExperience of building relationships and trust with stakeholders such as clients, client-facing teams and engineering teamsExceptional communication and influencing skillsExperience of SaaS, web-based, cloud solutionsExperience with data-based and AI/ML tools and techniques beneficial but not essentialExperience in Financial Services in particular, an understanding of financial product lifecycles an advantage but not essential.
