We are looking for Niche Systems Administrator s to join the Information Management Department, working within the Niche and Records Team.
Due to the expansion of the team, w e have several Niche Systems Administrators roles available. If you would like to be part of a team responsible for maintaining and developing our key recording system for North Yorkshire Police , we would like to hear from you!
This role is crucial in ensuring the effective use of the Niche R ecords M anagement S ystem (RMS) for our users and in proving effective customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
D eliver a service in accordance with agreed standards and SLAs as well as identifying and developing ongoing process and service improvements.
Effective maintenance, configuration, upgrading and management of Niche RMS, in l iaison with key stakeholders and software supplier.
Undertake regular evaluation of information held in Niche RMS and work with key stakeholders to identify and resolve problems to maintain the security and integrity of the data in accordance with statutory and legal requirements for all data handling.
Responsible for developing and implementing key tools and learning, to improve processes and the service user experience.
Undertake the design, development, testing and delivery of customised reports that enable the production of management information in partnership with colleagues.
Respond to queries and provide advice on system support services, functionality, key procedures, and processes.
Promote the service catalogue, associated tools and SLAs, ensuring they are clearly understood by service users and colleagues.
Represent Information Management at relevant meetings or working groups .
Contribute to or undertake research or project work on key issues or specific initiatives .
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
We are looking for motivated and dedicated individuals with the following skills and experience :
Technical Expertise : Proficiency in using the Niche records management systems is preferred.
Test Management : Experience in technical testing of a system and business changes.
Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving skills to contribute to decision-making within a multi-skilled team.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and customer service.
Attention to Detail : Ability to make risk-based decisions on complex or sensitive information.
Organi s ational Skills : Effective planning, organising, and prioritising activities to meet tight deadlines, with the ability to work independently to solve problems and suggest system improvements.
Data Skills : Experience with data query and extraction tools, or designing and developing system reports, is an advantage.
