Systems Engineer

Position: Systems Engineer, Left side of V

Salary: �55,000 - �60,000

Location: Belfast

The Role: A leading Automotive business who are at the cutting edge of Electric Vehicle systems developing the system that sits within the vehicle for some of the worlds most prestigious OEM's are looking to recruit a talented Systems Engineer (left hand side of the V) to the team, ideally with automotive experience but will consider an exceptional Systems Engineer without automotive experience.

The Systems Engineer (left hand side of the V) will be working with customers on defining the requirements for the element that connects to the charging station which includes the plugin, communication technology, payments and the safety and charging information such as voltages, monitoring of the battery, heat and current. The chance to work on the systems requirements of a product that interacts with the external charging unit whilst analysing data from the battery will allow the successful Systems Engineer the ability to work on the core of EV development.

The role will involve capturing system level requirements from the customer and then working with the software engineers to ensure the requirements are being turned into software requirements understood by the software engineers. There will also be the opportunity to work on system level testing such as hooking up to a charge point and running through a charge cycle and noting errors and faults.

The tech stack required for this role is below, automotive is a nice to have

• Systems Engineering experience, working to the V model and the left hand side of the V
• Appreciation of Embedded Software
• Experience of requirements capture
• Experience with requirements capture tools such a Jama

The salary on offer is �55,000 - �60,000 + bonus and benefits
