Hybrid role - Systems Engineer, Oxfordshire, to c. £55K package + bonus + excellent holiday allowance + fantastic facilities and work environment.
So, this is a very interesting Systems Engineering job, joining a really friendly, expanding, high technology R & D company who are leading the world in high precision positioning, navigation and mapping technology development for Automotive, Drones, Autonomous Driving etc applications. A fantastic work environment with lots of opportunities to learn. Technical inquisitiveness and problem solving skills would certainly help in this role.
The position involves working as part of an Application Engineering R & D team responsibility of developing complex and sophisticated engineering solutions using state of the art positioning, mapping and navigation products, consisting of both Hardware and Firmware, for the automotive, autonomous vehicles and surveying / geo-mapping industries.
The role is responsible for executing all technical aspects of engineering projects including assessing customer requirements, developing customer hardware and software solutions, supporting customers, and writing technical documentation.
Essential skills -
Competent using system analysis tools (UML, Data Flow, FMEA, etc.) to analyse customer needs, system requirements, capability, and cost to determine project feasibility.
Able to lead the integration of complex systems and development of system validation plans.
Able to investigate and understand complex technical issues and problems.
Experience in managing more than 3 concurrent projects; plan, track and manage development tasks.
Work to deadlines and adapt plans as necessary to meet project objectives.
Work collaboratively with customer and internal departments to successfully achieve outcomes and results.
Nice to have some of -
Knowledge of product design from feasibility to production, including digital and analogue circuits, microprocessor circuits and PCB design.
Firmware Development
Knowledge of C, C++ programming languages and real time operating systems.
Knowledge of mechanical design for products, including frames and housings, and for product testing equipment.
