Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team on contract/permanent basis to be based in Woking. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment, and acceptance. This role requires a systematic and structured approach to ensure high-quality output and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decompose high-level requirements into vehicle and system-level specifications, ensuring alignment with higher-level product and legal requirements.
• Provide design guidance to ensure system designs meet all necessary standards and requirements.
• Manage projects with basic planning, reporting, and governance within the area of responsibility.
• Utilize IBM Rational DOORS and Jama for requirements management.
• Use JIRA or similar tools for project tracking and management.
• Apply knowledge of standards such as Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and Software Update Management Systems (SUMS).

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modeling, systems integration, system assessment, and acceptance.
• Proficiency in IBM Rational DOORS and Jama.
• Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
• Knowledge of Automotive SPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and SUMS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex topics for senior management.
• Self-motivated with the ability to lead activities and contribute to high-quality work products.
• Systematic and structured approach to work, providing a clear framework for stakeholders.
• High self-motivation to meet program deadlines in a challenging environment.

• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a leader and team member.
• Experience in automotive or related industries.
