Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Tachograph Technician

Location: West Bromwich
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial tachograph calibrations on new vehicles undergoing Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
• Carry out tachograph inspections, fault finding, and repairs as required.
• Manage duties associated with the tachograph centre and Technician Quality Checks (QC's).
• Ensure that all records are maintained in compliance with DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) regulations.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Tachograph Certification: Must be tachograph trained with current certification (training can be provided for the right candidate).
• Speed Limiter Training: Scania Speed Limiter trained (training available).
• Diagnostic Training: Scania Diagnostic training (training provided).
• This role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in the commercial vehicle industry.
• Vehicle Diagnostics: A good understanding of vehicle software and electronic diagnostics is essential, although training will be provided.
• Licensing: An LGV/PSV License is advantageous for road testing vehicles.
• Development Opportunity: The role could expand to include vehicle inspection to IRTEC Standards after completing training.
