Location: Mobile contract – travel 2 days a week to London/Surrey and BirminghamSalary: Up to £70K + car allowance + bonus 10 – 20% + PMI + LAAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled HR professional for the position of Senior Talent Development Lead. This role reports directly to the Director of Talent, L&D, ED&I. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in talent management, strategic thinking, and building relationships at all levels. A commercial mindset and analytical approach are crucial, along with strong communication and leadership skills.Responsibilities:Develop and implement talent management strategies aligned with business goals.Partner with HR and business leaders to drive talent initiatives.Create assessment approaches to identify top talent.Design and deliver talent interventions such as development and retention programmes.Develop succession plans and contingency frameworks for critical roles.Review workforce planning data to inform talent strategy.Evaluate the success of talent programmes and recommend improvements.Build internal and external talent pipelines through partnerships.Produce reports, analysis, and presentations as needed.Support the Talent, L&D, ED&I, Apprentice team, and Social Promise commitments.Embed ED&I initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.Ensure compliance with fire, safety, health, and hygiene regulations.Requirements:Deep understanding and passion for talent acquisition, management, and development.Strong project management and organisational skills with attention to detail.Analytical skills to interpret data and provide strategic insights.Proven experience in maintaining and influencing stakeholder relationships.Ability to manage a broad spectrum of work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal, motivational, verbal, and written communication skills.High literacy skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Canva desirable).Integrity and confidentiality.Desirable but not essential:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (or relevant work experience).CIPD qualification.Training in psychometric tools.Qualified coach.Background in consultancy or professional services.Join us in shaping the future of talent development and making a significant impact on our organisation.
