On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Talent & Development Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 months contract based Hybrid - 2/3 days in Aldermaston.

As a Talent and Development Manager, you will be responsible for supporting, developing and implementing talent and development initiatives to achieve our business objectives. This role requires a Deep specialist/talent expert who is strategic, proactive and highly specialised and can engage and influence at all levels of the organisation. This role also includes line management of a small team.

As a Talent & Development Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
* Contribute to the development and design of talent management programmes to develop, retain and engage top talent.
* Assess and identify talent gaps and create development plans to address them.
* Support the business in aligning talent development initiatives with business objectives.
* Support the development of succession plans and talent pipelines for both critical and all roles.
* Provide coaching and guidance to employees on professional development opportunities.
* Proactively identify learning needs across the organisation and create plans to address them.
* Assess the effectiveness of talent and development programmes and make recommendations for improvement.
* Stay current with best practices in talent management and development and make recommendations for changes where appropriate.
* Work with and manage external suppliers.
Essential:
* SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks
* Excellent communicator both written and verbal with the ability to network
* Qualifications in and experience of psychometrics
* Research skills
* Knowledge of talent assessment methodology
* Organised and has great time management
* Coaching skills
* Able to prioritise work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines and SLAs
* A good general knowledge of HR
* Influencing skills
* Comfortable with analytics
* Proven experience in talent management and development
* Knowledge and application of psychometrics
* Strong project management skills
