We are currently seeking an experienced
Band 6 TB Nurse Specialist to join a highly regarded team across multiple locations in Luton. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse with a background in TB Nursing and Screening to provide specialist advice and support in both primary and secondary care settings. If you have a passion for infection control, preventative measures, and working within a multi-disciplinary team, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:\n- Provide specialist nursing advice for both primary and secondary care to prevent and manage TB.
\n- Implement preventative and infection control measures, in collaboration with UK Health Security Agency staff, and other health professionals, according to agreed protocols.
\n- \nVaccination, education, and monitoring of patients receiving care and treatment for TB.
\n- Support patient care within a multi-disciplinary team, across all directorates and departments.
\n- \nPatient assessments and related work across a variety of clinical settings in a timely manner.
\n
Skills and Experience Required:\n- \nRGN qualification with current NMC registration.
\n- \nPost-registration experience in community or acute settings, with a strong background in TB management.
\n- Experience in developing and working with protocols, PGDs, and clinical pathways.
\n- Knowledge of screening, immunisation programmes, and infection control.
\n- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
\n- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
\n- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
\n- Flexibility in clinical situations, with the ability to demonstrate adaptability to changing client needs.
\n- \nImmunisation experience and ability to undertake patient assessments.
\n- Strong ability to work independently and manage patient care within a structured framework.
\n
