Vetro Education is seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teacher to work in a Pupil Referral Service in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent.


The school supports learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD and challenging behaviour and Vetro Education is looking for a Behaviour Specialist Teacher in or around the Ebbw Vale area who are experienced in any of these fields.
As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, Vetro Education will allow you to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.
Overview:

  • Title: Behaviour Specialist Teacher
  • Pay: £160.00 per day minimum
  • Location: Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent
  • Hours: Full time or part time - Monday to Friday 830am - 3pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Behaviour Specialist Teacher

  • Supporting and supervising learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD or Challenging Behaviour
  • Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
  • Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
  • Delivery of a variety of subjects at both primary and secondary level
  • Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
  • Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies


The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Behaviour Specialist Teacher

  • At least 1 year teaching experience of and experience within a pupil referral setting would be beneficial
  • Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
