The School:

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Art, Design, and Technology to join this outstanding school for the summer term, starting Tuesday, 22nd April through to Friday, 18th July 2025. This is a full-time, supply role, where you will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:30pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lessons across a range of subjects within the Art and Design department, including:

  • Art, Craft & Design
  • Photography
  • Food, Preparation and Nutrition
  • Graphic Design
  • Product Design
  • Fashion & Textiles

Additionally, the school also has cover requirements in the Technology department for this half term, so there may be additional opportunities to support students in other technology-based subjects.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is flexible, creative, and passionate about inspiring students in the creative arts and design fields. You will be working with students across all key stages, including Key Stage 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons across a range of subjects, including Art, Craft & Design, Photography, Food, Preparation and Nutrition, Graphic Design, Product Design, and Fashion & Textiles.
  • Ensure a positive learning environment where students are motivated to succeed.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster an atmosphere of respect and collaboration in the classroom.
  • Work closely with the department to ensure consistency in teaching and learning practices.
  • Contribute to a supportive and thriving school culture.

To be considered for this Teacher of Art, Design, and Technology role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Have experience teaching Art, Design, and Technology at the secondary school level.
  • Be passionate about inspiring creativity in students and fostering their growth in a range of design and artistic disciplines.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management skills and a commitment to upholding high standards of behaviour.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
