Vetro Education is seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to work in a Secondary Secondary school in Monmouth, Monmouthshire.
The schools support learners in Key Stage 3 and 4 and this role is to work with small classes of learners with social and emotional mental health, social and emotional behaviour difficulties and challenging behaviour. Vetro Education are looking for Design and Technology Teachers in or around Monmouth who are experienced in a similar role
This is a full time role which will run to the end of the 2024-2025 academic year.

- Pay: £170.00 per day minimum

- Hours: - Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (3pm finish on Friday)

The role: What you'll be doing as Design and Technology Teacher
- Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 3 and 4 - with SEMH, SEBD
- Preparing the classroom for lessons and plan work where required
- Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children on occasions
- Deliver lessons in line with national curriculum
- Assist learners at break time with their lunch where required
- Engage learners with both classroom and out of classroom activities
- Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies
The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as Design and Technology Teacher
- At least 1 year teaching experience (exceptions made for NQTs)
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent
- Registration as a Teacher with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
- Experience and confidence working with SEMH, SEBD and challenging behaviour
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
