We are looking for a motivated and committed English teacher to work in one of our secondary schools in Bradford on a temporary basis. If you're looking for a role that offers progression and stability, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Position Details


  • Location: Bradford
  • Contract: Full time role
  • Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

What We're Looking For


  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A strong ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Creativity and the ability to design engaging lessons that are differentiated for a range of ability levels.
  • Leadership qualities, particularly having the ability to encourage and inspire pupils.
  • Modify teaching methods to accommodate students various requirements
  • Strong communication skills to engage students and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to teaching.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding their progress.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Effective classroom management techniques

Responsibilities


  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking in your students.
  • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to students, ensuring they meet and exceed their targets.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school's curriculum development and extra-curricular activities.
  • To assist students in making connections, promote self-directed learning and critical thinking.
  • Effective behaviour management
  • Encourage extracurricular pursuits like reading clubs or creative writing projects.
  • Assess overall student performance, support exam preparation, and inform future class design, ultimately helping students achieve their academic goals.
