About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our secondary school in Leeds. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, fostering their creativity and critical thinking skills. Position Details


  • Location: Leeds
  • Contract: Full time role
  • Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Essential Requirements


  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities


  • Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking in your students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
  • Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to the students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share teaching strategies or resources.
  • Incorporate technology into lessons, using digital platforms and tools to enhance learning and communication.
  • Formative and summative assessment
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of teaching practices and subject matter.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community to promote positive relationships and student success
