About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Maths to join our secondary school in Harrogate. This part-time position (3 days per week) begins in January 2025 and offers the chance to work with motivated students in an environment that values innovation and academic excellence.

Requirements


  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum for Maths.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities


  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Differentiating instruction to cater to the needs of all learners.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the progress of students.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Supporting students to develop problem-solving and analytically skills.
  • Preparing students for exams, including providing targeted intervention sessions.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of educational developments in Maths.
  • Contributing to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities or pastoral duties.
