We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting in January 2025, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on student's education and future.

Start Date: January 2025

Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Maths.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam specifications.

Responsibilities:


  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Maths lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Differentiate teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies to maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address concerns.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
