About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic secondary school in Leeds as a Teacher of PE (Female) empowering students through sports and physical activity.This full-time position starts ASAP and runs until December. You'll have the opportunity to teach across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop their skills, confidence, and passion for PE.

Contract: Full time
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)

Essential Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A strong commitment to student achievement and wellbeing.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities


  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote active participation.
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports clubs and activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and resources.
  • Promote health and safety standards during PE lessons and sports events.
  • Ensure all lessons adhere to the national curriculum and school policies.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of teaching.
  • Encourage a lifelong love of sport and physical activity.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and discipline.
  • Act as a positive role model for students.
