About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Science to join one of our secondary school in Leeds. This full-time position starts ASAP, running until February half term, with the potential for extension. You'll be teaching across KS3 and KS4, delivering inspiring lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Contract: Full time
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered)
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Differentiate lessons to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles.
- Prepare students for GCSE exams through targeted teaching and support.
- Attend departmental and staff meetings, contributing to school-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Science department to develop innovative teaching strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers about student progress.
- Take part in extracurricular activities and Science-related events.
- Manage laboratory resources and ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Encourage and reward positive student behaviour and effort.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students exploring Science-based careers.
