Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with varying special educational needs, including those exhibiting challenging behaviours.
  • Facilitate engaging classroom activities and maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
  • Offer personal care (e.g., feeding, toileting, hygiene) when necessary, ensuring students' comfort and dignity.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver comprehensive care and education.

What They're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in SEN or education is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with and manage challenging behaviours.
  • A willingness to provide personal care as required by individual students.
  • A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are essential due to the school's location and off-site activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a deep commitment to student welfare.
