We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in both KS1 and KS2. At Randstad, we match your background and preferences with our clients' needs. These schools employ various approaches to assist children in the classroom, ensuring both educational and personal development. Their goal is to address the evolving challenges faced by learners, families, staff, and communities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children's personal and educational information.
• Collaborate with professionals like speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to provide holistic support.
• Handle crisis situations, such as meltdowns or behavioural challenges, in a calm and professional manner.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of children with SEN, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and accommodations.
• Assist in teaching essential life skills, such as time management, organisation, and self-advocacy, to prepare children for post-school life.

Requirements:

• Solid familiarity with the national Key Stage Curriculum.
• Proficiency in various teaching techniques suitable for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Thorough understanding of child development and the learning process.
• Strong commitment to building positive connections with children and understanding their needs.
• Ability to provide personalised attention, encouragement, and assistance with learning tasks.
• Possess an Enhanced DBS check or be prepared to obtain one through Randstad.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
