Teaching Assistant

We are working in partnership with a specialist school near Lancaster who support pupils with additional needs ages 3-19. The school are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants Part Time due to a recent increase in pupil numbers for September .* The role will be a long term role* with the view to have the opportunity to apply to transfer over to a permanent contract for the right person.We have vacancies as follows to fill-

Primary - Wed - Fri

Primary - Thu and Fri

KS3 Secondary - Wed - Fri x 2 vacancies

They are looking for qualified staff or open to giving someone a chance to start their SEND career you can come from any background care, sports, own personal connection. You need to be resilient and want to make a difference to a pupil with complex SEND needs. You will receive full support and training to do the role and work in small classes within a Team of Teaching Assistants.

What the school are looking for;

• Ideally Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Health and Social Care Qualification or equivalent open to Unqualified or Level 2 Qualification


• Experience in supporting pupils with SEND this could come from a wide range of backgrounds from own family members, sports coaching, social/residential care, mainstream which transfer to a teaching assistant role


• A real passion in supporting pupils with their individual need


• Strong Team Work skills due to you will be working within a team of teaching assistants


• A resilient teaching assistant who is open to change every day will be different
