The School and Role

An Alternative Provision school based in Southampton are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to start in September. The school caters for primary and secondary age pupils (KS1 - KS4) with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour.  

The successful SEMH Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 or in small classes, assisting pupils academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally.

Requirements 

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND

- A passion for the progress of pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
