Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant | Westminster, NW8 | 4-5 Days Per Week | �90-�105 | Long-Term to Permanent | September 2024

LTF Recruitment are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant, with experience working with Autism, to join the support staff team of a fantastic Private Primary School in Kensington and Chelsea. The school are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant or graduate to work 1:1 with a young boy in Year 2 with ASD, to support them with their learning and engagement in lessons. The position starting is in September, working Monday-Friday (option for a 4 day week) for the whole of the new academic year, with the potential of continuing in a permanent role

Main Duties include:

• Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics
• Liaising with the class teacher, school SENCO, and the children's parents regarding pupil's progress
• Working 1:1, and in smaller groups, with children who have ASD and other associated needs
• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with children with autism
• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience working with within a school
• Experience working with special educational needs
• A flexible attitude and be able to adapt approach to meet learner's needs
