Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about helping and delivering on learning for those students on a 1:1 basis? This role is to support an increased amount of SEND 1:1 needs - are you interested in full-time long-term work supporting students 1:1?

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for SEN TA staff to join and work at a primary school in the borough of Greenwich - all roles for SEN TA will be paid at between �83.33 - �109 per day dependent on experience and length of time in role as well as working hours which can vary based on the child.

Job Requirements:

• Working with a wide range of class teachers, SENCOs and SLT to deliver excellent teaching and learning.
  
• Coaching children on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  
• Accompanying children on trips to provide 1:1 support.
  
• Supporting assessment and evidencing learning for future planning
  
• Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
  
• Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners in particular 1:1 care
  
• Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability or needs
  

The successful candidate will have:
Possess the right Professional qualification: CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education, NNEB or B.Tec Nursery Nurse NVQ Level 3, B Ed Early Years or equivalent. (if possible not necessary)
Previous primary school or childcare experience (vital).
A proven ability to work on their own initiative (vital).
A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults (vital).
The ability to use relevant technology/equipment.
A can-do attitude (vital).
A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school (vital).
A passion for ensuring SEND children's needs are met and lead to better outcomes (vital).
The ability to communicate well with other professionals and the family of the pupil and recognising the importance of good relationships with parents and carers (vital).

• Qualifications in Supporting in Schools not essential but welcomed
• To have worked with children within a school setting or other setting and be able to provide us a reference for this
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
